Food and Beverage Service Supervisor

The Food & Beverage Service Supervisor, reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager, is first and foremost responsible for ensuring all guests have a great experience in our Daylodge cafeteria, T-Bar Pub and during special events. They work directly with frontline servers, cashiers, baristas and bartenders to make this happen, building a positive team environment that mirrors the overall ski culture of Castle Mountain Resort.

Job Duties
  • Supervise, schedule and lead cashiers, servers, bartenders and baristas
  • Assist the above staff as needed during busy times
  • Supervise kitchen, pub and janitorial staff as needed
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Resolve customer complaints, as well as internal conflict amongst staff
  • Ensure that the food quality, quantity, presentation and service is up to standards
  • Participates in the training of staff
  • Cash control for daily operations and events
  • Payroll for all food and beverage employees
  • Ensure COVID-19 procedures are followed in their areas.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships with peers, subordinates, and other external contacts.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to function independently and under pressure and ability to manage various projects at the same time.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, inventory control, and POS systems. 
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in a relevant discipline.
  • Serving It Right – Licensee and Food Safe training an asset.
  • Leadership experience in food services
  • Experience with Special Events and Weddings

Working Conditions
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity required.
  • Weekend, Evening and Overtime as required.
  • This is a seasonal position Oct-Apr, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Work Location
  • This is a remote location. Own vehicle and comfort with winter driving is required.
