Nestled in the southwestern corner of Alberta, in the rugged and legendary Canadian Rockies, Castle is as authentic as it gets. Our resort is not owned or operated by a large ski conglomerate; rather by a bunch of local skiers and riders who are passionate about steep terrain and great snow. Operational decisions are made here (head office = the basement of the day lodge) and our long term direction is plotted by a group of passionate, volunteer directors who represent more than 200, predominately local, shareholders.

Job Duties
  • Responsible for all the daily preparation of food items for each of the stations and all areas of the kitchen.
  • Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner
  • Preparation of all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner working at an efficient and consistent pace.
  • Clean food preparation, service and storage areas.
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in all work areas of the kitchen
  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers or griddles


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Kitchen and/or food handling experience
  • Attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to accept direction
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Food safe certification is considered as asset
  • Post-secondary education or trade certificates considered an asset

Working Conditions
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity required.
  • Weekend, Evening and Overtime as required.
  • This is a seasonal position Oct-Apr, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

  • This is a remote location.
  • Limited staff accommodation is available onsite.
