Role Summary
Become one of the authors of our story.  Join our team as the Membership Coordinator at the Commodore Perry Estate in Austin Texas. The Membership Coordinator will provide quality customer service to members, potential members, and guests of the Commodore Perry Estate.  A focus on ENRICHing the stay of our guests and striving to create and positive work environment for the team.  

Core Responsibilities
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done!  Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates.   Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
  • Responsible for recruiting and enrolling new members.
  • Respond to personal referrals and making outbound calls to generate leads.
  • Ensures the enrollment process is complete and membership records are maintained in a manner consistent with our standards.
  • Maintain prospect database in accordance with our standards utilizing system functionality to stay organized and generate reports.
  • Represent the membership in community activities and organizations to provide awareness and to develop sources for prospective members.
  • Be involved and support all member special events providing ideas, input, and assistance to help provide first-class member events and functions.
  • Handle the details for community-facing events, including scheduling, budgeting, staffing, and internal/external communications. 
  • Conduct prospective member tours and serve as a lead mentor and sales/service trainer for other team members. 
  • Provide a timely and professional response to member inquires, questions and complaints.
  • Work with the Membership and Experience Manager to develop programs and social media campaigns to create awareness and brand recognition.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of policies, rules and recommend changes, additions or reviews as needed.
  • Maintain updated information materials (brochures/rates etc.) on other memberships in the area.
  • Provide required reports to Membership and Experience Manager.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Skills
  • Creativity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, members, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Google Docs/Sheets, Slides, Hangout, Linkedin, Salesforce, MS Office Suite).

Required Qualifications
  • 4-5 years membership sales experience required; experience in a luxury hotel environment preferred.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals with attention to detail.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, with a willingness to travel as business requires.
