Overview:
Kids Klub provides quality care and education for children in kindergarten through 12 years old.  Kids Klub operates before and after school programs and full-time programs during school vacations, summer break and when school is not in session.


Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Driver of a 12-passenger van/mini-bus who would also be a Teacher Assistant when not driving.

The Driver will be required to perform the following duties including, but not limited to:
  • Drive company van/mini-bus to and from schools and/or field trips
  • Assist in the creation of a safe, healthy, structured and nurturing environment
  • Monitor the behavior of all children including proper sitting, entering and exiting of the van
  • Assume responsibility for ensuring that all children board and exit the van safely
  • Use proper protocol as necessary when an emergency situation arises notifying the proper authorities including the Administrators and/or Home Office
  • Operate van/mini-bus safely at all times in accordance with posted speed limits, parking restrictions, passing zones and all other traffic and driving laws
  • Assume responsibility for ratio and head counts, school locations and children
  • Check the condition of vehicle tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order
  • Help to supervise and interact with children to facilitate their play and learning
  • Communicate positively with parents
  • Support the implementation of the Therapeutic Child Care Services (TCCS) program
  • Assist with the accreditation process as well as other quality initiatives
  • Ability to attend meetings/trainings after normal business hours
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary
The Teacher Assistant will be required to perform the following duties including, but not limited to,:
  • Assist in the creation of a safe, healthy, structured and nurturing environment
  • Help plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum and assessment of children
  • Help to supervise and interact with children to facilitate their play and learning
  • Communicate positively with parents
  • Support the implementation of the Therapeutic Child Care Services (TCCS) program
  • Help prepare activities
  • Serve meals to the children
  • Help to keep the classroom clean, organized and maintained
  • Drive company van/mini-bus to and from schools and/or field trips
  • Monitors the behavior of all children including proper sitting, entering and exiting of the van
  • Uses proper protocol as necessary when an emergency situation arises notifying the proper authorities including the Administrators and/or Home Office

Education Requirements:
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must participate in early childhood staff development program
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred

Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working with children in a supervised school age setting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive team player

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to be engaged in physical exercise with children such as walking, running, crawling, bending, twisting, etc. 
  • Must have visual and hearing acuity
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds

Other Requirements:
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
  • Must possess a valid chauffer’s license and meet insurance required parameter for safe driving or obtain a chauffer's license prior to working.
  • Must pass national criminal background/fingerprints check
  • Must pass Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) Clearance Request (CPS)
  • Available to work a flexible schedule between the hours of 7:00AM- 9:15am. and/or 2:15pm - 6pm., Monday – Friday.  Combine both morning and afternoon for a Split-shift daily or just morning or just afternoons.
