Tactical Communications Engineer (Lexington Park, MD)

• Essential Job Functions: Support system level designs, installation, testing, and certification in aircraft. Utilize principles of systems engineering and other engineering disciplines to evaluate, recommend solutions and clarify requirements.
• Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. A Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline plus 8 years of experience or a Master's Degree plus 6 years of experience is required. Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance. Experience with design, integration, testing and debugging of communication systems. Able to work in a proactive fashion with minimal supervisory oversight. Willing to travel up to 10% of the time to support witness testing events, attend program-level meetings.
• Desired Skills: Experience with troubleshooting communication and RF systems. Experience working with SETR processes. Experience with reviewing system specifications and design documentation while providing detailed constructive feedback.MIL-STD-1553 multiplex data bus system testing experience. SNMP testing experience. Working knowledge of antenna theory and concepts. Experience working directly with customers and vendors. Experience working with ARC-210 radios. Experience with NAVAIR airborne platform integration.MS Degree in an Engineering discipline, Electrical Engineering preferred. Active TS Security Clearance. Familiarity with NAVAIR working environments and processes. Willingness to work in a classified lab environment. .
