Role Description
This role is responsible for the oversight, organization, and direction of all aspects of the business group level annual planning and monthly forecasting process, management reporting, and business group headquarters financial functions.  In this senior manager level role, you will act as a valued business partner to members of the Finance leadership team by providing insightful analysis, as well as partnering with leaders across all functional areas to support key business initiatives.  This role supports the business group and business units by providing training on systems, financial processes, and reporting to ensure a high standard of accuracy.  The role emphasizes change leadership and requires the ability to manage through ambiguous situations and the agility to adapt quickly to a fluid work environment and changing priorities.  The role requires extensive hours during peak times.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
  • Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities, promoting an environment where each employee makes safety their first priority
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for the business group, driving alignment across the business units and functions, and ensuring clear accountabilities and deadlines are established and communicated
  • Coordinating business group management reporting and providing accurate, consistent, and insightful reports and presentation materials to the executive leadership team
  • Act as a valued business partner by ensuring consistency and quality of insightful variance analysis and propose actions to achieve goals and drive outperformance
  • Generate and analyze business unit headquarters annual budget and monthly forecasts, including evaluating and articulating risks and opportunities
  • Accountable for business unit headquarters month-end close variance analysis, reporting, and identifying levers to drive outperformance
  • Drive process improvements, consistent processes, and train direct reports and broader finance team on tools and financial models
  • Systems expert for Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
  • Prepare and analyze cash flow projections and cash flow generated
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and SOX; role may include balance sheet analysis and approval of account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Review and analysis of capital projects
  • Build organizational capability by executing human capital processes including goal setting, performance reviews, human capital planning, and career development for all direct reports

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience – 10+ years of experience; 3+ years of experience in a multi-business unit environment; 3+ years of managerial experience preferred
  • Full working knowledge of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
  • Strong systems aptitude; advanced user of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage large amounts of data from multiple systems
  • Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) experience required
  • SAP and FP&A experience preferred
