Job Description
  • Individual must have senior knowledge and senior hands-on experience in Level of Rigor (LOR) software safety testing. Clear communication skills are required.
  • Essential Job Functions: Writing test scripts, in an agile software development environment, where built-in automated test procedures are paramount and continuous integration of software and continuous delivery of software to the Government is the culture. Further test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization. Recommendations of improvements to existing software applications as necessary. Individual shall be capable of performing the software tasks relevant to the basic requirements in forming and working on Government/Contractor software coding teams. Advocate for paired programming development methods; conduct oral presentation.
  • Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. A High School Diploma or GED plus 23 years of experience, an Associates Degree plus 17 years, a Bachelor's Degree plus 15 years or a Master's Degree plus 12 years of experience is required. Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance within 6-9 months. Experienced engineer with knowledge of Level of Rigor (LOR) software safety testing. Experience with the general characteristics of the UAV platforms. Experience with interface standards used testing on the command line in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment. Familiarity testing DDS based services and knowledge of test automation is considered a plus. Experience with agile and lean philosophies. Proven experience building applications using a 12-factor application software architecture, micro services, and API. Possesses an Agile Development Certification as either a Scrum Master, Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or equal to.  Additionally, holds a CUA/CXA or equal Certification. Experience with Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration techniques delivering software to the cloud. Experience in test-driven development and automated testing practices.
  • Desired Skills: Leading and mentoring junior level engineers. Experience writing and building cloud native applications. Experience working independently with clients or stakeholders conducting interviews, observations and surveys to successfully create a user-story. Experience designing full-service consumer and business applications. Experience in research, visual design, graphic design, consulting, and/or development.US Government experience.
