ROLE OVERVIEW
The Account Manager is responsible for growing and maintaining business with assigned accounts in the United States. 
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Responsibilities include:
  • Commercial oversight on synergy footprint optimization projects for Healthcare
  • Working with IMO, product management, sales, operations and customers to establish road maps for products transfer 
  • Responsible for managing project timelines
  • Establishes and maintains cordial and effective relationships with key personnel at assigned accounts in purchasing, packaging, R & D and management areas
  • Opens new accounts, expands sales on existing accounts  
  • Negotiates and resolves issues which arise between assigned accounts and Client on matters relating to product performance, pricing, service, etc. Organizes, coordinates and conducts customer sales presentation
  • Develops and sales growth plans. Continually evaluates sales and open orders against budget for management of overall sales goals. Implements actions as appropriate
  • Manages accounts receivable as acceptable levels with assistance from the credit department
  • Provides reports as requested by management including:  Sales Call Reports; Monthly Reports; New Business Opportunity Reports; Annual budgeting
  • As directed by Sales Management, establishes and maintains cordial and effective relationships with internal Client product management, customer service and key global Client contacts.  Because there is potential for customer base to have global manufacturing locations, ability and desire to work with key Client global personnel concerning business requirements is essential in this position
  • Communicates competitive developments in his/her territory regarding marketing strategies, pricing structures or product performance and communicates intelligence to management through the Monthly Report system
  • Responsible for the management of Account Planning and PMDB maintenance in Sales Force
  • Coordinates Sales Management, R&D, Marketing and Field Service in support of validation trials and customer trials
  • Required to be proactive in maintaining appropriate knowledge base of product lines of global Client manufacturing competencies, along with knowledge of allied and customer industries
WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
  • Bachelor’s degree is required, and a packaging/technical degree is preferred
  • Experience in Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer Skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Sales Force preferred)
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills to effectively manage business growth
  • Strong technical expertise of components and construction of flexible packaging materials
  • Extensive knowledge of end-user equipment and end-user applications in Medical Packaging
  • Travel Requirement - +50% (Domestic and/or International)
What are the 3-4 non-negotiable requirements on this position?
  • 5+ years in flexible packaging 5+ years of proven growth in current accounts and driving new account growth 5+ years of writing and executing strategic account plans Bachelor's Degree Have managed a territory of at least $8 million in prior roles.
