Job description
As a Cyber Security Analyst IV, you will work as a member of Client’s Cyber Intelligence Team collecting information about threats to the business, come up with new methods to gather and process information, write intelligence reports, and provide insight and assistance with cyber security incidents.

Design and administer procedures in the organization that sustain the security of the organization's data and access to its technology and communications systems. Assess risk of exposure of proprietary data through weaknesses in platforms, access procedures, and forms of access to the organization's systems and the data contained in them. Track security violations and identify trends or exposures that could be addressed by additional training, technical measures, or use of application tools to enhance security. May lead or execute simulated attacks or security violations to assess the organization's data security measures.

In this role you will have the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
  • Work with the SOC to triage cyber security incidents.
  • Find new ways to gather, process and report on information related to threats to Client.
  • Analyze malicious software samples, providing insight and threat actor TTPs information security.
  • Write intelligence reports to inform leadership about trends within the threat landscape.
  • Train junior analysts on intelligence production and analysis techniques.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree or Equivalent in Computer Science or IT/IS

Experience (Primary)
  • 6-8 years of related experience

Skills (Primary)
 
  • Understanding of network and log analysis utilizing a number of tools including Splunk, Firepower and FireEye.
  • Familiarity with industry reporting from premium Intelligence providers.
  • Experience writing finished intelligence products.
  • Understanding of traditional intelligence methodology as well as Cyber Intelligence threat models.
  • Familiarity with collection management processes.
  • Experience working on big data projects and considering ways to group information.
