  • Seeking an experienced Senior Financial Planning Analyst to join our team of talented professionals in Bethesda, MD.
Qualifications
Education   
  • BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent
  • MBA Finance or MS in Business Analytics or similar degree preferred
Minimum Experience  
  • Minimum of 5 years in Financial Planning and Analysis or in a Technology role managing the project financials of large initiatives
  • Strong understanding of Technology Infrastructure and Development methodologies

 Specialized Knowledge & Skills     
  • Strong knowledge and experience supporting Cloud Technologies and AWS a plus

  • Working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Experience working with financial planning and reporting systems

Job Information
In this critical role, the Senior Financial Analyst will provide key analytical and financial decision support to ensure the business achieves its company goals. The candidate will partner and support multiple finance managers to provide key insight into financial performance highlighting areas of improvement, identify root causes and partner with management on corrective actions and improvement plans. 

 Key Job Functions
  • Provide key support in the development of the annual and 3-year business plan, the quarterly forecast process, and the monthly management reporting which includes developing plan materials for reporting to divisional management, company’s Board of Managers and Executive Committee
  • Supporting the Balanced Scorecard process and playing a key role in identifying, implementing, and maintaining company KPIs. Support the monthly financial close activities to ensure the books are closed timely and accurately
  • Support business case creations and detailed project reporting on investment opportunities
  • Provides recurring and adhoc business analyses to support reporting, planning, and forecasting
  • Helps to establish and maintain consistent financial operating policies and procedures
  • Provides key thought leadership to drive best practices related to FP&A policies and procedures and recommends modifications as needed. Ensures continued compliance with all policies and practices
  • Manage and analyze technology spend within CSS
  • Works closely with other FP&A team members to provide insight in efficiency opportunities across different divisions and align assumptions for forecasting and planning
  • Works with business area finance managers to build and leverage recurring and ad hoc management reporting to identify trends, build business cases, highlight opportunities and risks, and drive business decision making
