Job description
We are seeking Software Engineers @ various levels to play an active role in accelerating the delivery cadence of our development teams. The DevOps Toolchain team supports Software Engineers by providing a modern toolset and expertise in automation. We are the automation specialists that make automated testing and deployment fast, easy, and secure for the organization. You will work closely with Software Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Security Professionals to build flexible and robust software delivery pipelines to support a variety of modern technology stacks.
Responsibilities
A typical day starts with the daily standup meeting to discuss progress and impediments with your teammates. After that, you may develop new automation enabling our development teams to automatically test, package, deploy, and monitor a new application. Alternately, you may lead a cross functional project team discussion to plan for the implementation of a new automation request.
In the afternoon, you may finish documenting a new process improvement you implemented to optimize and automate an administrative setup task. Finally, you complete your day by discussing an idea to simplify the automated deployment process with your Software Engineering peers.
Positions are available to accommodate a wide range of experience in DevOps. Candidates with a background or education in Software Engineering and an interest in scripting and automation are well suited for entry level positions. Candidates with hands on experience working with DevOps technologies to build robust CI/CD pipelines for modern technology stacks, strong Linux/networking skills, and experience leading small to medium sized teams to overcome obstacles and meet the needs of our organization are well suited for Lead positions.
Candidates must be able to quickly identify pitfalls and devise strategies to overcome them on an ongoing basis. Candidates must be curious and have the desire to continuously learn and take on new challenges to meet the needs of our rapidly evolving teams and technologies.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or higher)
- 3+ years' experience in software development or testing
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, practices, and tools.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, practices, and tools.
- Knowledge of one more programming languages used by the team.
- Knowledge of software testing practices and tools.
- Knowledge of problem solving techniques and tools.
- Ability to travel as needed for company business and professional development.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as needed for system implementations and resolving system problems.
- Knowledge of business analysis practices and business process modeling.
- Knowledge of quality management and quality improvement practices.
- Knowledge of team leadership skills, practices, and behaviors.
- Knowledge of techniques, tools, and applicable laws to conduct effective and legal interviews.
- Knowledge of techniques for writing and presenting business proposals to management.
- Knowledge of effective writing and public speaking skills. Ability to convey complex information to general audiences
