Summary:

Seeking experienced IT Project Managers to support our client by mentoring and overseeing IT transformation projects. The successful candidate will have a PMP certification and will utilize Project Management Agile methodologies to train and manage project teams. Must be able to manage changes to project scope, cost and schedule, provide forecasting, Earned Value Management (EVM), risk analysis assessment, and issue tracking and resolution.  

Management:  
  • Provides SDLC management and mentoring for large scale IT project management best practices and techniques providing technical direction to support staff
  • Supports strategic business planning and implementation of project governance  
  • Monitors adherence to Delivery Program Management Office guidance and directives issued on specific projects per client
Communication:
  • Acts as liaison, effectively communicating with clients, executive management, and fellow team members regularly on project status
  • Monitors and communicates how the progress of solutions provided will ultimately meet the technology needs of the organization
Scheduling:
  • Develops and executes complex technical tasks, timelines and budgets, as well as corresponding project management plans and critical paths
  • Ensures that all projects are integrated into IMS, planned and carried out with maximum efficiency on time and on budget

Responsibilities include:
 
  • Develop and execute IT service management activities in accordance with industry best practices, ITIL and Project Management Institute (PMI®) standards
  • Perform facilitated planning sessions regarding task definitions, task sequencing and task interrelationships within the project
  • Using the full capabilities of Microsoft® Project, create, review, and update program schedules, milestones, deliverables and corresponding project management plans
  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope 
  • Coordinate and manage development of program-level (or enterprise-level) schedules in order to integrate efforts between individual projects under the purview of the client's executive staff
  • Work closely, advising, communicating on standard methodologies and on the overall framework project lifecycle
  • Provide training and guidance on how to use agile/scrum practices and values
  • Work with teams to identify process issues and provide recommendations for improvement and escalation plans and strategies
  • Manage conflict resolution and planning sessions to build consensus among project team members 
  • Liaise, interfacing and communicating with stakeholders regularly to identify changing business requirements and identify needs

Required Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited college in Business, Information Systems, or related disciplines
  • Project Management Professional, (PMP) Certification
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an IT Project Manager
  • Demonstrated expertise with MS Project
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working with large scale enterprise efforts
