Summary:

The successful candidate will report to a Sr. Program Manager &
will provide support in identifying how Edwards will implement and/or deploy a suite of tools and technologies in conjunction with existing Delivery Program Management Office, (DPMO), ensuring the IT needs of the organization are met. You must have experience in the following:
 

  • Providing project management support, project schedule management, continuous process improvement, and SDLC management
  • Collaboration tools such as MS Project and SharePoint platforms

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • The Project Manager will be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prepare and deliver project reports, update program resource schedules, supporting documents and corresponding project management plans
  • Prepare project reports and presentations for program and project status meetings
  • Establish repeatable project management processes
  • Work with teams to identify process issues and provide recommendations for improvement and escalation plans and strategies
  • Define project scope, tracking all deliverables using Gantt charts while identifying critical path(s)
  • Manage, plan, & track multiple project schedules, identifying all stakeholder’s dependencies, baselines and budgets using the full capabilities of Microsoft Project
  • Support Product Owners, providing guidance to the Release Train to help teams adapt to the environment
  • Identify and manage associated risk issues and dependencies; provide mitigation strategies
  • Organize and facilitate planning meetings for Program Increments, facilitate decision making and conflict resolution to build consensus among project team members regarding task definitions, sequencing and interrelationships within the project
  • Provide training and guidance on how to use agile/scrum practices and values

Required Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or other related discipline. 
  • At least 2 years of experience in managing IT related projects
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Experience working with large scale enterprise government implementation effort
  • PMP certification
