DESCRIPTION

EDGE is seeking a Senior Manager within our Management of Contaminated Sites program to support our clients from our Houston office and participate in the expansion of our business. As a “seller-doer,” the ideal candidate will have significant consulting experience, technical skills, leadership ability, and established client relationships. This position will require successful selling and consulting for multimedia site investigations, remediation, and closure of contaminated sites under a variety of regulatory programs (RCRA, CERCLA, VCP and UST) across the country with focus in Texas and surrounding states. 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide technical and project management support to clients for all facets of project execution from site assessment to site closures.
  • Supervise projects and oversee key client relationships. 
  • Manage and mentor staff and the development of new business opportunities.
  • Make project related presentations to regulatory agencies and negotiate work plans for the performance of site assessments and remediation activities.
  • Apply Risk Based Corrective Action (RBCA) practices to client projects. 
  • Prepare and submit high-quality reports for clients and regulatory agencies.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of a master’s degree in engineering (Environmental, Civil, or Chemical) or a science-related field (Geology or Earth Science is preferred). 
  • 10+ years of environmental consulting experience, with a focus in multi-media site assessments, remediation, and closures.
  • Professional certifications and licenses as appropriate.
  •  Knowledge of multi-media modeling and risk assessment.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Self-motivated, quick learning, flexible individuals who have a common-sense approach to conducting business and workload management will be most successful.
  • Ability to travel overnight in-state and out-of-state as required by clients, potentially up to 25% of the time.
