Since 1985, ABC has grown from a one-person systems consulting practice into a full-service engineering, architecture, construction management, and program/project management firm with 175 employees in eight offices nationwide. 

Position Description 

We are looking for an energetic, meticulous Human Resources Manager who has experience in recruiting, onboarding, employee records maintenance, benefits administration, developing policies and procedures, establishing reviews/appraisals, and termination/separation processes. The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and is ready to hit the ground running, taking on a variety of HR responsibilities and making creative contributions in the process . 

Your Day-to-Day 

  • Administer ABC's benefit initiatives
  • Work with employees to help them understand their benefits
  • Manage new hire onboarding and orientation
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and reporting requirements
  • Manage recruitment efforts
  • Contribute to updates of the company's performance review process
  • Identify and address personnel performance issues and remediation plans
  • Maintain and update the Employee Handbook
  • Facilitate culture, staffing, and capacity planning and other HR related initiatives
  • Assist in build-out of ABC's professional development program

You Have... 

  • 7+ years of HR experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Management
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory laws, rules, and standards
  • Experience in the engineering/construction industry (preferred)

  • Adept at building and maintaining relationships
  • Able to manage, plan, and implement HR projects
  • Able to work with a broad range of personalities to achieve HR goals
  • Discreet and diplomatic
  • A skilled verbal and written communicator
  • Proficient in MS Office products
