The Revenue Accountant is responsible for the timely recognition of revenue in our Commercial Real Estate Assets.  The Prairie Region portfolio extends from Alberta east to Manitoba and includes office, retail, industrial, and ground lease assets.

The property management, asset management, leasing, legal affairs and finance team members all interact and work with our two (2) Revenue Accountants.

  • Overseeing the lease document translation process into the ERP system including review of completed transaction documentation, loading required information into the ERP system, monitoring the set-up review process, and activation of the transaction in the ERP system.
  • Maintenance of building area tables due to changes in unit demising and changes in building measurement standards.
  • Processing and posting rental charges including monthly contractual rent rolls, straight-line rent adjustments, percentage rent, and potential rent on vacant premises.
  • Finalizing upcoming year Rental Payment Schedules.
  • Assisting Property Management with tenant account reconciliation.
  • Validate and prepare monthly EFT package

  • 2+ years of experience ideally in real estate property accounting
  • Post-secondary college degree in accounting program preferred.
  • Current enrolment in a professional accounting program (i.e. CGA, CMA, CA) is beneficial.
  • Previous ERP information system use and experience working in digital environment
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting contracts.
  • Property management experience beneficial
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word and accounting systems
  • Completed tasks with consistent accuracy.
  • Clear communication skills – both written and oral
  • Self-motivated, deadline driven, works well in a team environment
