As the Manager, Strategic Initiatives & Building Excellence you will play a vital role in championing new strategic initiatives that will drive a long-term business transformation. This opportunity requires a highly nimble and agile leader who has strong ability to influence and inspire people.  

You will work across innovative projects that will make an impact and change how our organization operates while making an impact on how we position ourselves as a leader in our industry. As a visionary leader you will inspire our organization to think differently by ensuring we are being efficient in our practices, operational tools and systems, ensuring resources are being used effectively and appropriately while also keeping company policies and procedures in mind. You will build a strategic, innovative and people focused team that will ensure that our organization follows our philosophy of an “always learning, always curious” approach. This is an exciting yet challenging opportunity that requires someone who has lead large scale complex transformational projects that have produced high quality results at a top tier organization.  

You will manage projects from conception to execution which includes managing timelines, budgets, communications, business goals, being aware of possible risks while being able to mitigate them,and driving completion of projects in collaboration with various stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the results of these initiatives in order to ensure success and failures.  
 

Qualifications: 
  • 5+ years of prior experience in program management or similar style role leading transformational initiatives  
  • Lean Six Sigma and PMP certification required 
  • University degree related to Engineering or Business (preferred)  
  • A proven track record of leading change that impacted efficiencies and ROI 
  • An individual who is a strong representation of GWLRA’s values:  Integrity, Ambition, Empathy and Creativity 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills – after all you will be expected to inspire and lead change! 
  • results driven and passionate leader with an entrepreneurial mindset 
  • Previous experience working in a fast paced, high volume and complex environment with ability to overcome challenges & barriers  
    Ability to manage a program lifecycle from conception to execution to analysis  
  • An expert when it comes to process improvement & quality management
