You should be extremely organized and detail-oriented, able to work effectively to meet deadlines, have a positive can-do attitude, and an open and highly collaborative demeanour. We are looking for someone who can multitask at a high level but stay focused on ensuring investment transactions and initiatives are successfully supported. This is a strategic, transactions-based, and fast-paced role and requires the ability to adapt to dynamic and changing circumstances. The preference is for this role to be based in Vancouver.

In this newly created role, you will support the Senior Director, Corporate Development in our various growth initiatives including but not limited to US cross border real estate transactions and advancement of new distribution channels.  You’ll also work on:

Transaction Strategy:  Deal review and analysis of cross-border transactions; working committee planning calls; consultation with various groups on deal strategy/implications; collaboration with stakeholders such as global tax, global legal and finance; overall management of transaction workflow; coordination of required legal structuring requirements; preparation of formal approval documents; coordination of funding strategy
Transaction Governance: Governance & Compliance document coordination and retention; board compliance for various structures/deals; prepare updates for the working committee and general updates to various stakeholders; preparation of presentations/board committee updates; deal tracking in collaboration with other internal groups 

Project Management:  Project management coordination and tracking of new and existing initiatives; coordination of communication with various stakeholders
Interested in being considered?  Here’s what you’ll need:
  • At least 3 years of experience in a real-estate environment, title company, or have direct/recent transaction coordination experience in acquisitions/dispositions
  • Completion of post-secondary education in relevant discipline such as business administration (accounting/tax, finance, real estate); paralegal background also an asset
  • Familiarity with commercial real estate legal documentation, due diligence and closing processes, and records management
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Exceptional communication skills; written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, multitask, and problem solve issues while managing competing priorities and commitments to deadlines
