Where do you see yourself? 
 

Position Overview: The primary role of the Leasing Coordinator is responsibility for presenting our community to prospective residents, providing customer service, and participating in the marketing of the community.  As a front-line employee, it is imperative that you provide both existing and potential residents with a superior level of service. 
  
Duties:  
 
Sales and Presentation: 

  • Opens and inspects the models and the market “ready” vacant suites daily to ensure they are presentable in accordance to established standards 

  • Maintains the leasing office in a professional manner and ensures the leasing center is open and ready for business on time each day 

  • Answers telephone and email leads by responding to leasing inquires on a daily basis 

  • Follows Yieldstar pricing procedures as directed by supervisor 

  • Inputs accurate and timely information into Yardi for all telephone, email and walk-in traffic including inputting rentals, cancellations, transfers, and lease renewals 

  • Compiles welcome paperwork with lease, associated addendums and forms in compliance with policies and procedures and schedules move-in appointments for reviewing the lease and lease documents with new residents 

  • Monitors the rental application process in accordance with policies and procedures and in compliance with Vertica approval guidelines 

Marketing: 

  • Gathers competitive market information regularly through telephone calls, internet research and site visits 

  • Creates and posts advertisements on websites (e.g. Craigslist, Kijiji etc.) 

  • Generate leads through a variety of avenues (e.g. telemarketing, distributing flyers etc.) 

  • Shops the competition to compare sales technique, strategy and merchandising 

Administration and Reporting: 

  • Prepares routine reports (monthly market survey) and shares information with on-site management team. 

  • Ensures close out procedures in Yardi are completed at the end of each leasing week (Sunday night close) 

  • Inputs all Guest Registration Card information into Yardi 

  • Assists in maintaining an accurate and current priority wait list and assures all prospects are kept in constant communication with leasing availability 

  • Ensures the efficient and profitable operation of the property advising management if suites are not rent ready 

  • Reviews and submits changes to the availability report each week or as directed 

  • Performs other duties as assigned 

  
Requirements:  

  • 1-3 years of Leasing/Sales experience 

  • 2 years experience in previous relevant customer service role 

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred 

  • Property Management experience an asset 

  • Must have valid driver’s license and proof of insurance 

  • Intermediate level knowledge of Yardi and MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) 

  • Must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal relationship skills 

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving is required 

  • Must be a self-starter with high degree of initiative, creativity and flexibility 

  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people and interests while being culturally aware 

  • Have a thorough understanding of competing properties and current market conditions
