In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

 

Oversee and lead the operations of our 5.6 million square-foot GTA Industrial & Retail portfolio that includes 75 properties and 300 tenants. You’ll will work collaboratively with our Director of Property Management and Operations management to help shape and influence the direction of our property management team. In addition, our tenants are high profile companies – strong presentation, relationship building, and communication skills are key for success!

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Train staff on tenant services and communications program, policies, procedures, and processes
  • Ensuring that our staff and properties are viewed as leading property professionals by ensuring high levels of customer service and communication

 

FINANCE + BUDGETING

  • Manage annual operating and capital budgets as well as a variety of reports
  • Manage and advise on multiple capital, construction, and acquisition projects

 

ADMINISTRATION + REPORTING

  • Manage annual building inspections and capital projects from beginning to end
  • Ensure that corporate governance, environmental, health & safety policies and procedures are compliant

 

OPERATIONS

  • Manage complex tenant issues and ensuring all tenant issues are managed efficiently and in an effective manner
  • Travel (50% roughly) locally (GTA) to engage tenants and ensure we are making the best business decisions for our portfolios

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

REQUIRED

  • 5+ years of property management experience with extensive exposure to industrial and retail properties
  • 5+ years of budgeting (capital, acquisition, project, etc) and reporting management experience
  • Must have experience analyzing industrial and retail building data
  • Must have a vehicle and be comfortable with local travel

 

PREFERRED

  • Highly collaborative management style that allows you to independently drive a highly both responsive and proactive team
  • Nimble and agile working style that allows you to effectively address complex tenant inquiries in a fast-paced constantly evolving environment
  • Passionate about building structure and processes that drive a more efficient work environment
  • Passionate about sustainability initiatives and processes
  • RPA and/or CPM designations
