General Summary:
The New Business Development Representative position will help lead Coast to Coast Distribution into our next phase of growth and expansion by bringing in additional retail sales generation via new account additions and executing CCD program initiatives. This role will be responsible for visiting independent C-Store accounts and actively seeking to sell-in beverage planograms, equipment, sales programs, and CCD product offerings. This position is field-based and reports to our Director of Sales.
Requirements:
- College degree or equivalent related work experience
- 2 or more years of C-Store / DSD /CPG sales experience desired
- Minimum 1-3 years of account management preferred.
- Excellent communication, customer service and negotiation skills
- Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills, particularly in a customer setting.
- Effective time-management & scheduling skills, with ability to work independently across a large market.
- Ability to handle various tasks concurrently and be detail-oriented in the process.
- Highly motivated, self-starter.
- Enthusiastic, team-oriented mentality.
- Intermediate skills required in Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Good driving record with valid driver’s license.
- Actively seek to sign up new business accounts for CCD products and services.
- Travel to assigned list of C-Stores to identify, develop and close sales opportunities.
- Identify and execute sales opportunities at unassigned independent C-Stores.
- Develop a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of CCD products & services and articulate it to all levels of decision-making authorities at targeted accounts.
- Work to achieve maximum sales profitability & revenue growth from every account visit.
- Maintain activity log and updates of findings during each account visit.
- Measure and evaluate specific territory business (trends, gaps/opportunities, what’s working/not working).
- Provide solutions where gaps exist and execute these solutions accordingly. Own and lead your territory story.
- Assist with current BDR tasks, when necessary
- Perform other duties as required.
- 10-12 store visits each day within assigned territory.
- Most days will have prolonged walking/standing/driving.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs without assistance.
