As a Schill Team Member, here are some of the things you will do:

Accounts Payable
  • Supports the monthly check run cycle to include pulling invoices, preparing checks, assembling checks, stuffing envelopes, and timely mailing
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payable data
  • Adds, updates and obtains vendor payment information to enter in the accounting system
  • Reconcile payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate
  • Process timely and accurate payment to subcontractors and independent contractors
  • Communicates with vendors in reference to purchase orders and invoices to ensure accurate payment.  Researches and resolves issues of concern
  • Keep track of credits owed to the company and ensure all credits are properly applied to vendor payments
  • Maintains accounts payable files to include filing, updating folders, etc.
Payroll
  • Compiles payroll data; polls time clocks, and reviews the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy
  • Reviews, processes, and completes garnishments, child support, PTO, and other employee or mandatory requests affecting payroll
  • Process bi-weekly transfer of payroll data to payroll company
  • Enters and reviews employee information on the payroll system, and closes electronic files upon separation
  • Responds to requests for information from employees and/or outside entities such as garnishments, employment verifications, and financial institutions
  • Produces reports out of the payroll system as needed
Other
  • Establishes priorities for managing own work while staying on a focused, efficient path for achieving results.
  • Acts as business ambassador and presents a positive image of the company.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
What will it take to be successful in this position?
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • One to two years of experience with payroll processing preferred
  • One to two years of experience in accounts payable preferred
  • Intermediate to advance knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
  • Previous work experience with Paychex, QuickBooks, and Aspire strongly preferred
  • Must possess a high degree of accuracy with data entry and payment processing
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple priorities efficiently
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
