HR Support Internship

Schill Grounds Management is seeing a part-time (10-15 hours/week) paid intern to help with support responsibilities in the HR department. This position has a flexible schedule, within the normal M-F 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM workweek. This internship is ideal for students currently enrolled in an HR, or related college program.

HR Intern Duties and Responsibilities
  • Post new positions on websites and job boards
  • Assist with screening resumes and applications
  • Assisting with new hire orientations
  • Coordinate interviews
  • Scanning and storing employee files
  • Collect and update our database with new hire information (e.g. employment forms and contact information)
  • Maintain payroll data including leaves, working hours, and bank accounts
  • Proofread HR documents and policy review
  • Help prepare Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents
  • Assist the HR department with special projects including employee incentive plan development, company committee initiatives, audits, etc.

Requirements
  • Human Resources Management or Business major
  • Experience in an office environment preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and resume databases
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to type 60+ WPM and quickly learn new software programs
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
