Account Manager/Client Care Specialist Position Description

Job Summary

Account Manager/Client Care Specialist is responsible for account management, including client retention, enhancement sales, new contract sales, business development, production layout and overview.  This position will also ensure total client satisfaction while assisting the production department to produce the jobs using horticulturally correct and time productive methods. This position will have winter responsibilities with our snow operations team. All employees are expected to carry out the company’s mission, vision, and values.

As an Account Manager/Client Care Specialist at Schill Grounds Management, you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:
  1. Introduce and meet with new clients to sell commercial landscape maintenance contracts and enhancement services.
  2. Prepare estimates and proposals for presentation to clients.
  3. Make daily customer site visits, and regular phone contact to ensure quality services and customer satisfaction.
  4. Direct landscape crews on maintenance service orders, with a detailed and planned approach.
  5. Consistently offer additional services to customers, to educate and build customer confidence regarding the enhancement of their landscape investment.
  6. Schedule and plan daily activities. Meet regularly with the Branch Manager to review progress, sales goals and performance.
  7. Follow all company policies and procedures.
  8. Perform any other duties as assigned.
JOB SKILLS AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
  • Expert knowledge of landscape maintenance standards, knowledge of plant material and installation standards
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal with co-workers and clients

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Valid driver’s license with record acceptable to meet fleet insurance requirements

Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test

Degree in landscape management, horticulture, or equivalent experience 

5 years of experience with landscape maintenance 

CLP or CLT Certification preferred  

Strong computer skills in Microsoft and other CRM systems

WORK CONDITIONS

Expected hours during the landscape season requiring flexibility to work between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm, including Saturdays to sell landscape services. Potential work hours during the snow season include nighttime, weekends, and holidays to participate with snow removal activities.  This position will require working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions including rain, snow, sun, extreme cold, or heat.
