Job Summary

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for supporting all areas of the HR department. This position will aid and facilitate HR processes and act as a liaison for the department. All employees are expected to carry out the company’s mission, vision, and values.

As a Human Resource Generalist at Schill Grounds Management, you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:
  1. Support HR Director with benefit coordination, open enrollment, and offer employee support for all Schill Grounds Management benefits.
  2. Provide excellent customer service to employees and potential new hires in directing them to proper solutions.
  3. Complete new hire paperwork and perform new hire orientations, as needed.
  4. Support in conducting audits of payroll, benefits, 401k, or other HR platforms.
  5. Assist with the processing of new hires and/or terminations.
  6. Assist with the performance review process.
  7. Assist with recruiting process for various company positions.
  8. Manage HRIS system as needed.
  9. Provide administrative support including faxing, scanning, copying, filing, etc.
  10. Complete Ohio Unemployment paperwork as requested by HR Director.
  11. Complete Worker’s Compensation paperwork as requested.
  12. Perform special project as assigned by HR Director.
  13. Follow all company policies and procedures.
  14. Perform any other duties as assigned.
  15. Complete FMLA or leave paperwork as needed.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must be highly organized and have great attention to detail.
  • Candidates should have a working knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
2+ years of related experience is preferred
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Previous work experience in HRIS is preferred
