Then we may have the position for you. The Ecommerce Fashion Specialist identifies, authenticates, appraises and lists some of the most famous designer names we receive at Goodwill. Thru your knowledge of trends, strong research ability, proven background and sheer intuition, you will be responsible for identifying high value or high potential items from our donations channels and sorting it by category and listing it to our online sales channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Authenticates fashion items to determine if they are counterfeit
  • Grade and determine condition of fashion items based on customer satisfaction guidelines; focus on Quality Control procedures to ensure that every item has the condition graded correctly
  • Provide group training and mentoring to team members on the authentication of items
  • Write product listings with detailed, accurate and trend relevant descriptions and titles
  • Post products for sale online and contribute to exceeding sales goals
  • Maintain quality control of online listings
  • Review and research online marketplaces in order to make educated decisions whether items meet online standards
  • Identify and pull product for online sale
  • Execute daily quality control checks and make suggestions for continued improvement
  • Act as a lead to support team supervisor to ensure smooth operations

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a fashion related field
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience authenticating designer products 
  • 1-3 years of experience selling items online
  • Digital photography background would be a plus
  • Previous team leadership experience a plus
  • Must be able to type 40+ WPM

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs unassisted
  • Ability to stand on hard surfaces for an extended period

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Extensive product knowledge in fashion category
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Excellent in-person, phone, and electronic-based interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups of individuals from a variety of educational, social and economic backgrounds
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence and partner/collaborate with others. Must be highly collaborative and open to multiple perspectives
  • Proficiency with, and ability to conduct, intermediate tasks within Microsoft Office Suite applications and various cloud based office applications
  • Ability to utilize self-learning systems
  • Possess a professional demeanor, poise under pressure with strong attention to detail, and well-developed time management skills
  • Respects and has knowledge of cultures, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientations and age groups other than one’s own, able to work effectively with all
