The Jewelry Associate culls thru, and identifies all the Jewelry we receive at Goodwill. Thru your knowledge of current trends, background and sheer intuition, you will be responsible for identifying high value or high potential items from our donations channels and sorting it by category and potential line of business.

  • Evaluate jewelry for damage/condition and make educated decisions on sell-ability
  • Authenticate, valuate, test, research, prep and price jewelry items
  • Participate in the online listing process – Write product listings with detailed, accurate and trend relevant descriptions and titles
  • Meet and/or exceed set production and listing goals
  • Maintain quality control of online listings
  • Work closely with Production and Retail staff to identify products
  • Perform other duties as required
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
  • GIA certification preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in merchandising and/or buying or degree/certification in Gems, Metals or General Jewelry Education
  • Photography background would be a plus
  • Must be able to lift up to 45+ lbs unassisted
  • Ability to stand on hard surfaces for an extended period
  • Extensive product knowledge in Jewelry/fashion category preferred
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Excellent in-person, phone, and electronic-based interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups of individuals from a variety of educational, social and economic backgrounds
  • Must be highly collaborative and open to multiple perspectives
  • Proficiency with, and ability to conduct, intermediate tasks within Microsoft Office Suite applications and various cloud based office applications
  • Ability to utilize self-learning systems
  • Possess a professional demeanor, poise under pressure with strong attention to detail, and well-developed time management skills
  • Respects and has knowledge of cultures, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientations and age groups other than one’s own, able to work effectively with all
