The eCommerce Shipping Specialist is responsible for sorting, packing, and shipping a large quantity of consumer goods from online marketplaces. The eCommerce Shipping Specialist will safely pack a wide range of fragile one-of-a-kind items under time-sensitive deadlines and deliver the wow factor to our customers through well packaged items and quick shipment times. This position acts as a lead in the absence of the team supervisor. 

. The eCommerce Shipping Specialist reports to the eCommerce Fulfillment Supervisor.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with activities related to order fulfillment
  • Assist with daily carrier pickup
  • Troubleshoots address verification issues
  • Provides training and mentoring to associates through constant constructive feedback
  • Assist Customer Support team in contacting carriers for address changes/other service requests
  • Monitor packing supply levels to ensure we never run out
  • Participate in all training activities to acquire skills on the job
  • Package and ship a high volume of product accurately
  • Use critical thinking skills to prevent shipping errors
  • Create outbound shipments to be stored in the warehouse
  • Record metrics including daily goals and complete the daily checklist
  • Assists Fulfillment Supervisor in generating reports
  • Learn and apply company policies, procedures and guidelines to complete assigned duties
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • 1-3 years of related experience in a high-volume shipping environment
  • 1-3 years experience in a warehouse environment 
  • 1-3 years experience leading a team
  • 1-3 years experience in a dynamic inventory environment 
  • Demonstrated understanding of various shipping software including FedEx ShipManager and ShipStation.com
  • Understanding of shipping and packaging best practices
  • Previous experience selling online
  • Forklift certification a plus

  • Read and write English proficiently, or have enrolled in and are on track to successfully complete an approved ESL program
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to use computers and various software applications
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to work respectfully and cooperatively with diverse group of individuals from a variety of educational, social and economic backgrounds
  • Respects and has knowledge of cultures, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientations and age groups other than one’s own, able to work effectively with all
  • Follow workplace quality and safety standards and contribute to a culture of safety

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Able to consistently lift a minimum of 65 lbs.
  • Able to stand on hard surfaces for an extended period of time
