About these Positions:
Green Powered Technology (GPTech) is preparing a response to a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) opportunity focused on improving the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and delivery of healthcare facility design and construction nationwide. This effort includes program-level review and optimization of planning, design, and construction requirements, as well as project and construction management support for VA healthcare infrastructure.

GPTech is seeking highly qualified engineering and construction professionals to support this proposal and potential follow-on work. These roles are initially proposal-contingent consulting positions, with the potential for longer-term or full-time engagement based on project needs and performance.

  • Construction Manager (CM)
  • Civil Engineer
  • Structural Engineer
  • Electrical Engineer
  • Mechanical / HVAC / Plumbing Engineer
  • Candidates may be considered for one or more roles depending on qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
Selected candidates will support federal healthcare infrastructure programs with responsibilities that may include:
  • Review and evaluation of design documents for compliance with VA, federal, and industry standards
  • Construction oversight, field inspections, and documentation of work progress and deficiencies
  • Review of submittals, RFIs, schedules, and cost estimates
  • Support to project management activities including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination
  • Constructability and phasing reviews
  • Identification and resolution of technical issues during design and construction
  • Support to commissioning, testing, and project closeout activities
  • Participation in stakeholder coordination and project meetings
Work will be performed in accordance with applicable standards, including VA TIL, ICC, NFPA, and Joint Commission requirements .

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
  • Relevant professional licensure (PE, RA, or equivalent) for engineering/technical roles
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience (depending on role) in design, design review, and/or construction oversight
  • Demonstrated experience on healthcare facility projects (federal or private sector)
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ICC, NFPA, FGI)
  • Experience with construction documentation, submittals, RFIs, and project coordination
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Highly Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) projects and Technical Information Library (TIL)
  • Experience with DoD, USACE, or DOS/OBO projects
  • Active or prior U.S. security clearance
  • Experience in construction management or owner’s representative roles
  • Experience with Primavera P6, cost estimating tools, or commissioning processes
  • International development experience (e.g., USAID, multilateral development banks)
  • Experience in complex, multi-stakeholder project environments
