About the Position:
GPTech is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join its headquarters operation in Arlington, Virginia. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will recruit qualified candidates domestically and internationally for corporate openings, ongoing projects, and new business/proposal development in support of our clients and customers, such as the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Millennium Challenge Corporation, U.S. Departments of State and Homeland Security, and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency. The Specialist will collaborate closely with GPTech Practice Area leads and project, operations, and business development teams. The successful candidate will develop sourcing strategies to create talent pools, outreach strategies to connect with prospective candidates, and engagement strategies to attract exceptional candidates. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be tasked with hiring efforts up to and including full lifecycle recruitment per the tempo of operations in the office. 

This position is based in GPTech’s Arlington, Virginia, home office. We work under a hybrid model and require this position to be in the office two days per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct proactive sourcing and recruitment of personnel for corporate, project, and business development activities. 
  • Identify and develop relationships with potential candidates and consultants through databases, contacts/networks, events, informational interviews, Internet, publications, and cold calls for open positions and talent pools.
  • Develop staffing strategy, source candidates, draft advertisements, screen applications, conduct interviews, verify biodata and other information, check references, negotiate compensation packages, and make recommendations to hiring team on offers.
  • Conduct initial phone screens, schedule interviews, gather feedback from hiring managers, and perform reference due diligence checks.
  • Upload and maintain job postings in the Applicant Tracking System, GPTech’s website, and other posting sites to keep job postings up to date, close filled positions, track applications, register new candidates, and upload relevant documentation.
  • Maintain candidate rosters, recruitment trackers, internal recruitment files, and job postings. 
  • Attend and represent GPTech at career fairs, networking events, and conferences as required. 
  • Ensure compliance with all governmental and client employment specifications and GPTech policies and procedures.
  • Actively participate in internal discussions and initiatives to augment and improve GPTech's recruitment systems, policies, procedures, and tools.

Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs, Business, Human Resources, Social Sciences, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of full lifecycle recruitment experience for technical roles, with experience in international development projects for government customers or donor-funded programs
  • Experience sourcing and recruiting candidates with specialized technical skills, educations, and certifications for a variety of projects and industries
  • Experience developing sourcing and outreach strategies to assemble pools and rosters of candidates for future projects and opportunities
  • Experience working with hiring managers to collect relevant information on their projects and teams to identify candidates that not only match requirements but fit the team culture as well
  • Experience sourcing candidates through online career networking tools and databases
  • Experience recruiting personnel for USAID projects preferred
  • Must have a strong orientation to customer satisfaction; an ability to foster productive team relationships; and the ability to communicate effectively across cultural, linguistic, and other barriers
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English, with other language skills preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fluid team environment with all levels of staff
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, organize large volumes of work, and perform independently
