GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) is currently seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to support our groundwater exploration, development, protection and management practices in our Meredith, New Hampshire office.  The ideal candidate for this position is a seasoned groundwater supply Hydrogeologist and water quality/environmental consulting professional with a strong desire to foster technical excellence and maintain strong client relationships. The incumbent would possess strong technical capabilities in one or more of the areas including: geophysics, remote sensing, structural bedrock mapping, geochemistry, aquifer and pump test analysis, and numerical modelling. We expect this candidate to be an enthusiastic outgoing person with the desire and motivation to embrace external networking and business development activities to continue our growth in our groundwater supply and consulting practices. This person will be expected to be involved in managing projects very soon upon hire. It is also the expectation that the candidate will complement existing workloads by being involved in developing new projects.
 
The Senior Hydrogeologist will work with a staff of interrelated fields and experienced professionals dedicated to providing high-level expertise on complex groundwater investigation projects.  This manager will be able to successfully execute all aspects of projects under the guidance of a company Principal while representing EGGI and GZA with the client throughout proposal, contract, and project performance phases.  He/she will be responsible for day-to-day execution of technical and financial aspects of each project, will be involved with business development activities and networking events, and will be involved with the development and mentoring of staff.  This position would have ownership opportunities with the firm and the potential for advancement to Principal levels.

Qualifications:
 
  • Master’s Degree preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Hydrogeology, Groundwater Engineering, or similar technical discipline required.
  • At least 7 years of related environmental experience
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical capabilities
  • Strong communication skills, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of common numerical modeling software such as, GMS, Visual Modflow, GW Vistas, EVS, etc.
  • Database, CAD or ArcGIS a plus
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and professional registration/licensure a plus
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday and occasional evenings and weekends as necessary to meet project demands
  • Ability to travel
  • A valid driver’s license in good standing
