Massage Therapist


What You Must Have:

  • Current registration as a Massage Therapist in the State of employment
  • Minimum of one year of massage therapy experience; preferably in healthcare industry
  • Therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice
  • Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision
  • Must have current driver's license
  • Experience with EMR software is a plus
  • Must have reliable transportation and provide ongoing valid and current auto liability insurance

What You Will Do:
  • Responsible for providing massage therapy to patients according to written IDG plan of care
  • Initiate massage therapy programs and instruct other staff members and family members on these programs and individualized goals
  • Direct and perform massage therapy procedures in consultation with patient, caregiver and hospice IDG
  • Perform assessments, evaluations and establish therapeutic and functional goals for clients
  • Maintain appropriate clinical records, progress notes and documentation
  • Advise RN Case Manager on the patient’s response to therapy or changes in condition
  • Promotes Agency’s philosophy and mission by presenting a positive image to customers
  • Promotes Agency philosophy to ensure quality of care
  • Participate in all mandatory staff in-services and meetings
  • Maintain compliance with internal annual education requirements
  • Timely submission of all documentation
  • Conduct all business activities in a professional and ethical manner
  • Performance of other duties as required
  • Ensure overall compliance with local, state and federal laws, Medicare regulations, and established personnel policies and procedures
