The Business Development Representative is an inside sales professional that provides first level support for setting sales appointments at our Joliet dealership through handling internet leads and phone calls. The Business Development Representative is responsible for ensuring proper follow up best practices to maximize showroom traffic.
No Cold Calling!! Hourly plus appointment bonuses!!
Job Duties:
  • Handle inbound sales calls from new and existing potential customers to setup sales appointments to look at and test drive vehicles
  • Handles and follows up with Internet leads to setup appointments for prospects to meet with a Sales Manager
  • Proactively confirms and reminds customers of solid and specific appointments by performing outbound calls
  • Continuous follow up on prospects and missed appointments
  • Completes outbound sales and retention campaigns as necessary to new and existing customers to increase sales floor traffic using proprietary marketing software
  • Proactively follows up with unsold showroom traffic
  • Handles special projects assigned by the Internet Manager as needed
  • Surveys customers for all product lines on the quality of the sales experience
  • Maintain familiarity with product knowledge for all product lines
  • 80% Follow Up calls to existing customers/ 20% inbound call handling
  • Must have excellent persuasive skills and experience working with customers and prospects.
  • Must have strong phone skills preferably with focus on sales
  • Must be articulate on the phone and able to multitask effectively to set specific appointments and build value in the product and our company
  • Ideal candidate will possess excellent phone skills, and portray extreme professionalism when dealing w/customers
  • PC skills including MS Office and typing of at least 40 wpm
  • Sales experience of at least one year preferred, but not required
  • Must be able to easily adapt to phone scripts and techniques utilized
  • Must be willing to work Saturdays
