JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
Our Security Officers are responsible for the safety and security of guests, employees, and the property. Officers must stay calm under pressure during busy periods while correctly completing all cash and point of sale transactions for Resort permits and fees. Security Officers must deliver great guest service, have an ability to diffuse situations, and correctly complete all necessary reports. Security staff supports other department activities to help assure the highest levels of guest and employee service.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of all applicable laws such as Havasu Landing Resort Rules and Regulations and guidelines pertaining to Havasu Landing Resort.
- Patrol all Resort buildings, grounds, and related areas.
- Secure all doors, windows, and gates and ensure that all alarms have been activated upon closing.
- Enforce all Resort Rules and Regulations and handle violations and/or infractions accordingly.
- Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to the legal protocol before the arrival of authorities.
- Ensure that all Security equipment and vehicles are in proper working order.
- Report all emergencies such as fire, health, security hazards to Supervisor/Security Manager.
- Correctly apply Resort permits to all vehicles to authorize passage into Havasu Landing Resort according to the current fees and/or rates.
- Proficient use of a computer to complete detailed incident reports in a timely manner.
- Send e-mail and pass on information to subordinates and management.
- Provide escort by vehicle for the transportation of all funds, deposits and other business-related items to the Administration office.
- Respond and report on incidents to including but not limited to; property damage, theft, unusual occurrences, accidents, and/or malfunctions of equipment or machinery.
- Effectively develop a good rapport with guests of the Havasu Landing Resort and Resort staff.
- Provide excellent customer service either individually or in a group situation.
- Perform all other duties/support services for other departments, guest, employees and the property as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be age 21 or older and have a valid driver’s license and insurable through Resort.
- Ability to use a computer and MS Word on an intermediate level.
- Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- High School diploma or GED required
- Security, military or police experience preferred but not required.
- Requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking during an 8-hour shift.
- Must have good vision (corrected to 20/20).
