DEPARTMENT:                            SLOTS

REPORTS TO:                             CASINO GENERAL MANAGER

Responsible for managing, directing, and supervising all personnel assigned to Slot Operations. Will produce annual budgets as required. Responsible for the profitability of the Slot Department while maintaining quality service in accordance with the policies and procedures of Havasu Landing Casino.

  • The Slot Manager has full responsibility for the directional and operational management of the Slot Department
  • Will ensure through the Technical Department the optimum functioning of slot machines and progressive jackpots
  • Hires, trains, and motivates subordinates to all internal goals, applicable gaming laws and procedures used in the operation
  • Will develop new concepts in promoting the casino and will keep abreast of all new developments in the slots field
  • Will help develop and recommend slot percentage payoffs, select new games and analyze the slot statistics in order to place games where profitability will be maximized
  • Will be responsible for the efficient functioning of the slots on-line system
  • Will review the reports and act accordingly
  • Will work closely with the Surveillance and Security Departments to ensure the safety and financial welfare of the Slot Operation
  • Ensure all personnel are reviewed annually and will take part in the disciplinary process when necessary
  • Will oversee the Technical Department and ensure all staff are given the correct training to ensure the slot machines are kept functioning efficiently
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • All other duties required by management
  • Must be age 21 or older, pass a pre-employment drug test and qualify for a gaming license
  • Cannot be convicted of a felony
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or relevant management experience
  • Must be able to communicate in the primary language used in the workplace
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a slot manager
  • Must have experience in overseeing human and material resources requiring sophisticated analysis and decision making
  • Must have full understanding of slot machines and slot data system
  • Must have experience and be aware of camera surveillance systems
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must not be color blind
  • Position requires bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, finger dexterity, grasping and repetitive motions

Employees with full time status are eligible for medical benefits (insurance) beginning the first of the month following the completion of 60 days of continuous employment.

Start date is contingent on my passing the pre-employment drug test, and my background check is completed by the Gaming Commission.
