Are you a seasoned Compensation Consultant who is looking for work/life balance and flexibility? If so, we’d love to see your resume. This is an on call position as projects arise. We are looking to hire a dynamic compensation consultant to develop and implement compensation programs, pay levels, and incentive packages for our clients. As a consultant you will be working with our HR Consultants and clients to determine salary requirements and perform regular market surveys to decide if compensation programs are up-to-date.

Our best consultants are smart and have a client-centric perspective with broad yet deep HR generalist experience. Our clients appreciate the fact that our consultants listen and address complex issues to fit our client's industry and organizational philosophies. Our consultants are comfortable with COVID issues, and can quickly switch gears to conduct audits, coach managers, address performance issues, recruit, write job descriptions, draft policies and handbooks, interpret and apply wage and hour laws, and more.  

Our clients are fantastic and appreciate the work that you do for them! We have regular in-service sessions for our consultants and have a strong collaborative culture.  

The HR Manager is located in the San Francisco Bay area, with clients located in various parts of California and with national and international presence. We help organizations solve HR issues and work primarily by referral and repeat business. Position can be remote.  

Our ideal candidate will have: 

  • A four year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or the equivalent
  • At least 2 years' experience as a compensation consultant
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll procedures, and best labor law practices
  • Strong computing skills/aptitude (Office, HRIS/Payroll systems) because we use technology solutions to communicate and to bring efficiency to our service delivery
  • Recent HR experience with California based companies
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to collaborate with management and HR team members to create sufficient compensation plans
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary market statistics and pay scales
  • Ability to show innovation and implement new compensation programs and systems as required

Our offices are located in Central San Rafael. Occasional travel to client locations is required
