This is a temporary, time limited grant-funded position for the Texans Recovering Together Crisis Counseling Program (CCP).

The Data/Evaluation Specialist will act as the IT support professional assisting the CCP Program Manager and the CCP team in all activities related to the Texans Recovering Together Crisis Counseling Program’s technical support on computer systems and office equipment needs.

Essential Functions:
  • Sets up computers and other office equipment for staff working on the CCP grant;
  • Installs standard software, ensures proper installation of cables and helps users resolve common hardware, software and connectivity issues;
  • Provide assistance involving problems with office equipment such as cell phones, printers and recognizes and escalates difficult problems to a higher level of support;
  • Serves as a subject matter expert;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of the practices, principles and techniques of computer operations, of information systems, of computer software and hardware, of information security policies and procedures and of local area and area wide networks;
  • Skill in the support of computers in the use of applicable programs and systems and in troubleshooting information systems;
  • Skill in using personal computer application software such as, Excel, MS Project or similar programs;
  • Ability to operate information technology systems, to troubleshoot and repair equipment and to communicate effectively;
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a team member in a fast-paced, deadline-orientated environment.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Experience in computer systems support work.  Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major coursework in computer science preferred. However, at a minimum graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent, supplemented by courses in computer science.

Special Requirements:  
Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to work hours other than Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 5:00 to accomplish program objectives and grant deliverables.
