Supervisor of Adult Case Management Program in McLennan County

The person hired for this position will be responsible for the supervision of the Adult Mental Health unit in McLennan County. This position provides direct supervision of all staff assigned to this unit and clinical oversight of all services provided.  The person hired for this position will also have the responsibility of hiring staff within the unit, evaluating staff performance, scheduling for the needs of the program. This position directly reports to the Associate Director of Adult Mental Health services. 


  • Responsible for the Unit's compliance with all applicable Center policies and procedures, community standards and state contract requirements;
  • Upon request, be able to provide accurate and timely reports to supervisor;
  • Responsible for the units financial stability including approval of expenditures;
  • Assures all workload measures are met and data is accurately reported;
  • Ensures that staff meet designated direct service and/or billing expectations;
  • Responsible for coaching, guiding and training staff and if necessary carry out disciplinary actions if necessary;
  • Provide sound clinical oversight of all cases and provides training to assist staff in development of their jobs;

Knowledge, Skills, and Essential Functions

  • Must possess a working knowledge of mental health treatment and diagnostics;
  • Having a working knowledge of Mental Health Services and rehabilitative training is highly desired;
  • Must possess strong organizational skills  and have the ability to delegate to others and monitor the completion of their tasks;
  • Must have the ability to work well with a variety of individuals including staff, community providers, consumers and the general public;
  • Excellent written communication  and computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel and EHR's;
  • Excellent verbal communication plus supervisory skills;
  • Time management required to meet service goals;
  • Stooping, bending, sitting, standing, and keyboarding for prolonged periods, and occasional  lifting up to 10 lbs.;
  • Must have and maintain a level of general level of health to perform the performance of job duties;
  • Ability to be CPR/First Aid and PMAB certified;
  • Valid driver's license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation required.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or related field with ability to maintain Qualified Mental Health Professional credentialing
  • Three (3) years of related work experience with at least one (1) year of the work experience serving in an administrative, managerial or supervisory role.
  Hours: M-F 8AM-5PM

Salary: $37,000 - $48,000 annually DOQ
