This is a full time position assigned to all of the Group Homes in the HCS program. Hours for this position may vary. The person in this position will provide supervision, support and training to residents of the group home. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a creative and energetic person to work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in all areas of daily living skills and community involvement.


  • Provides assistance with activities of daily living
  • Provides individual training to and supervises individuals or groups of individuals in performing therapeutic activities that foster greater independence
  • Coordinates group activities both in the group home and in the community
  • Maintains records of consumers’ participation in and responses to training, treatment and everyday activities
  • Prepares materials for therapeutic activities and maintains an adequate supply of materials
  • Performs related work as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent written communication  and computer keyboarding for documenting training
  • Excellent verbal communication with consumers, staff, and community providers
  • transporting consumers to and assisting them with activities
  • Stooping, bending, sitting, standing for prolonged periods and lifting 50-75 pounds
  • Ability to be CPR and SAMA certified
  • Valid driver's license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation required

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least six months of IDD experience required
  • Experience as an aide in special education classroom setting preferred

Hours:12 midnight-8AM Monday-Friday

Salary: $18,870.08 Annually/$9.01 Hourly
