Location:  300 S. 4th St. Waco, TX

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for the Challenging Behavior Program and the grant-funded HHSC focused autism treatment program provides community and clinical based comprehensive and/or focused treatment to children, adolescents, and adults with IDD, including Autism.  Services include assessment of the purpose of challenging behavior, language, self-care, social skills, academics, behavior function, etc.; development, training, implementation, evaluation, and monitoring of behavior intervention plans; development and updating of treatment objectives; consultation to schools and families; and client, staff and family training. Position requires extensive hands-on behavior intervention directly with clients, parents, and staff. Clients present challenges that may include lack of communication skills, physical aggression, property destruction or self-injurious behaviors.


Knowledge, Skills, and Essential Functions

  • Excellent written communication  and computer keyboarding for inputting clinical documentation

  • Excellent verbal communication with clients, staff, and community providers

  • Time management and organization required to meet service goals

  • Local travel to client homes, school, group homes, and other community settings. 65% of time will be spent traveling locally and 35% of time will be spent on regional travel

  • Stooping, bending, sitting, standing, keyboarding for prolonged periods, and lifting up to 30 lbs.

  • Ability to be CPR and SAMA certified

  • Valid driver's license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation to get to work is required

    Education and Experience

  • Master’s Degree with Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst Required
  • Experience providing behavior support beyond the work provided for certification purposes preferred
  • 1 year of case management and/or IDD experience preferred 

  • Required license or certification:

    •  Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Hours: Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM other hours as needed

Salary: $65,000
