The Licensed Vocational Nurse is assigned to outpatient psychiatry services and will work in the nursing department. The LVN will provide nursing and behavioral health support for individuals participating in the behavioral health outpatient program. The LVN will obtain vital signs, perform focused health assessments, monitor, and report lab values to the psychiatrist and consumers, perform intramuscular medication administration, dispense outpatient medications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Essential Functions
  • Excellent written communication and computer skills for inputting clinical documentation
  • Excellent verbal communication with clients, staff, and community providers
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Stooping, bending, sitting, standing, and keyboarding for prolonged periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to be CPR and PMAB certified
  • Valid driver's license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation required
Education and Experience
  • Current and unencumbered licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience preferred

Hours: 8am-5pm Monday through Friday, weekends, and holidays off

Salary: $19.00 Hourly/$31,520 Annual
