Heart of Texas Behavioral Heath Network (Previously known as Heart if Texas MHMR)- Registered Nurse Mayberry Clinic (Waco, TX)

The Registered Nurse is assigned to outpatient psychiatry services and will work in the nursing department. The RN will provide nursing and behavioral health support for individuals participating in the behavioral health outpatient program. The RN will be assigned to the outpatient clinic. Then RN will obtain vital signs, perform focused health assessments, monitor, and report lab values to the psychiatrist and consumers, perform intramuscular medication administration, and dispense outpatient medications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Essential Functions

Excellent written communication and computer skills for inputting clinical documentation.
Excellent verbal communication with clients, staff, and community providers
Time management and organizational skills
Stooping, bending, sitting, standing, and keyboarding for prolonged periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Ability to be CPR and PMAB certified.
Valid driver's license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation required.
Instructs, counsels, and assists clients in meeting their health care needs.
Monitor clients for changes in behavioral or medical status.
Assists in evaluating services provided and makes recommendations for improvements.
Participate in quality assurance reviews as required.
Train other staff as required.
Perform related work as assigned.

Education and Experience

Current and unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas
Graduation from an accredited nursing program
1 year of psychiatric nursing experience preferred.

Hours: 8am-5pm Monday through Friday, weekends, and holidays off

Salary: $33.00 Hourly/$68,640 Annually
