Core Functions
  • Take responsibility for timely completion of projects and repairs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean building.
  • Collaborate and occasionally own special projects.
  • Additional tasks as assigned. 

Maintenance
  • Complete work orders as assigned.
  • Monitor, complete and document daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance on equipment or buildings
  • Fabricate custom carts and repair castors.
  • Fabricate hanging racks per customer needs.
  • Fabricate and install guard rails around machines, walls and where needed.

Safety
  • Inspect emergency lights, fire extinguishers and eye wash stations monthly.
  • Attend 5S and safety meetings.
  • Complete 5S and safety projects.
  • Maintain SDS sheets and binders.
  • Train proper forklift techniques.
  • Maintain lockout/tagout procedures.

This is a position requiring both independent work as well as teamwork aptitude which requires high discipline, problem solving skills, initiative, and a positive attitude.  Attention to detail, organization, accuracy, and strong communication between team members will lead to success in this position.   

Desired Experience

Education: High school diploma and trade school, technical college, or traditional university completion in a related field preferred.

Experience: Prior experience in facility maintenance, electrical, and welding.  Fabrication experience is helpful.  Preference given to candidates with prior leadership experience and successful project management. 

Working Conditions

Work Environment: Indoors
  • Low to moderate noise levels
  • Humid and hot temperatures in the summer and cool to cold temperatures in the winter

Personal Protective Equipment: Eyewear, hearing protection, protective clothing, gloves, and/or masks may be required.

Physical Demand: Moderate
  • Must be able to frequently stand, walk, climb, crouch, crawl, and balance.
  • Climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, bending, and stretching is required throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift 10 to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to move loaded garment trollies on a rail system.
  • Ability to move loaded garment tubs weighing up to 500 pounds.
