AIPSO is a management organization and service provider for various insurance industry groups responsible for administering the residual market. We are a national organization that serves local customer needs. Centralization and standardization are key to many AIPSO services because of the inherent economies of scale and other efficiencies.  However, our organization is based on customer focus and recognizes the need for flexibility in serving customer groups with diverse interests.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Plan and perform objective sample testing of insurance operations, such as claims and/or underwriting, to verify compliance with industry best practices and standards, as well as state and company requirements and policies.
• Act as a subject matter expert to assist in identifying compliance attributes for testing of insurance claims and/or underwriting operations.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills and judgment in developing the sample selection and coordinating secure deliver of the servicing carrier test data.
• Prepare and execute suitable tests/approaches to evaluate compliance with requirements pertaining to insurance policy administration operations, such as: underwriting and rating new business, endorsing, renewing, and cancelling policies; handling claims; recording and reporting applicable transactions and activities.
• Identify areas of non-compliance noted in testing, perform further review, as applicable, and present findings to management, along with feasible recommendations to rectify confirmed exceptions.
• Validate satisfactory resolution of exceptions.
• As needed, assist less experienced staff/resources in testing and auditing processes.
• Prepare all related project materials in an organized manner, in accordance with department standards for secondary review.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university in Data Analytics, Cyber Security, IT/Computer Science related, Accounting, or Finance preferred. Additional, appropriate experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Professional certification preferred.

Experience:
5 or more years of data analytics, insurance (preferably automobile underwriting and/or claims), quality control, or auditing experience.

Skills/Knowledge:
• Ability to work effectively individually or in a team environment to accomplish project
goals and promote collaboration of ideas.
• Knowledge and understanding of insurance acumen.
• Ability to understand and concisely document business or system operations through
development of process narratives and flowcharts.
• Strong analytical skills in data collection and assessment and understand cause and effect.
• Strong communication skills to effectively express audit results in verbal and written format,
and successfully achieve agreement on resolution action plans.
• Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively organize and
prioritize assignments and tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Access, Visio, Outlook
PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.

Salary Range:
$77,300 - $123,500 Annual. Actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; internal equity and other conditions of employment.
