AIPSO is a management organization and service provider for various insurance industry groups responsible for administering the residual market. We are a national organization that serves local customer needs. Centralization and standardization are key to many AIPSO services because of the inherent economies of scale and other efficiencies.  However, our organization is based on customer focus and recognizes the need for flexibility in serving customer groups with diverse interests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and maintain automobile insurance related data stores and related back-office processing.
  • Analyze and transform complex datasets to align with business needs.
  • Develop algorithms to transform data into useful, actionable information.
  • Create new data validation methods and data analysis tools.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
  • Provide input to systems/data analysts to assist in workflow creation and enhancements.
  • Test code using various techniques, including but not limited to, manual and automated unit tests, functional testing, regression tests, etc.
  • Maintain code integrity, branches, and migration within source control.
  • Prepare builds for deployment to various environments, including following corporate system change control procedures.
  • Support multiple systems in production through maintenance cycles, post deployment monitoring, and issue troubleshooting.
  • Write documentation to describe software development, logic, process/data flow, and alterations.
  • Utilize various development methodologies in a software development team environment.
 
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in Computer Science
or related field preferred. Additional appropriate experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience:
5 or more years related experience using the following development tools and/or platforms: .NET, SQL Server, N-Tier Architecture (web and desktop), Job Scheduling and Source Control. Exposure to automobile insurance policy processing is a plus. 

Skills/Knowledge:
  • Strong Knowledge of OLTP database schemas and complex stored procedures.
  • Microsoft Visual Studio - Net C#, Console applications.
  • Ability to design, architect and build scalable applications and solutions in multi-tier environment using best practices, design patterns, and security measures.
  • Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills as well as strong verbal and written communication, organizational awareness, and customer service skills.
  • Strong knowledge ETL (Microsoft SSIS).
  • Microsoft BI Tools, Microsoft Tabular Models and/or Multidimensional Cubes a plus.
  • Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Power Query and DAX a plus.
  • Knowledge of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts: Star Schemas, Incremental Loading, Data Quality/OLAP a plus.
  • Scripting languages: PowerShell, Batch, etc.  

Salary Range: $79,600 to $127,200/$95,000 to $151,800 Annual.  Actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; internal equity and other conditions of employment.
