AIPSO is a management organization and service provider for various insurance industry groups responsible for administering the residual market. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Research and respond to telephone and written inquiries from insureds, producers, insurance companies and other professionals regarding plan rules and regulations and assignment information.
- Sort and deliver department mail; maintain daily mail count.
- Maintain and update records of Plan rule changes through important notices and circulars.
- Complete weekly and monthly status reports.
- Process unmatched physical damage inspection reports.
- Process applications, reassignments, rejects, premium reversals and perform Export.
- Process requests to amend effective dates of coverage.
- Process request to review deficiencies.
- Process company and producer performance complaints.
- Update producer information.
- Review underwriting documents, and policy change request forms and forward to Servicing Carriers.
- Maintain files for company subscriber information.
- Provide administrative support to other units as deemed necessary.
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Two-year degree from a technical school helpful. Additional appropriate experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience:
2 or more years of related experience and/or training in customer service preferred. Experience with residual market regulations and procedures, NJPAIP and CAIP Plan Manuals helpful.

- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office productivity tools (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel) to manage work.
- Effective problem-solving skills, including ability to analyze complex issues, find the root cause of the problem and consider a wide range of alternatives before acting.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or individuals.
- Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and interact professionally and effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by following directions and interpreting customer needs.
- Knowledge of the insurance industry, particularly automobile insurance, preferred.
- General insurance courses and designations or willingness to pursue designations helpful.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
Salary Range:
$41,400 - $66,200 Annual. Actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; internal equity and other conditions of employment.
