AIPSO is a management organization and service provider for various insurance industry groups responsible for administering the residual market. We are a national organization that serves local customer needs. Centralization and standardization are key to many AIPSO services because of the inherent economies of scale and other efficiencies.  However, our organization is based on customer focus and recognizes the need for flexibility in serving customer groups with diverse interests.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•  Develop on demand queries.
•  Review business requirements.
•  Act as first line of support and analysis for output problems (SQL course required).
•  Assist senior programmer(s) with all stages of application development life cycle.
•  Assist in developing, testing, and documenting automated solutions that meet the needs of the customer.
•  Replace, delete, or modify programs to correct errors, recreating steps taken by user to locate source of
   problem and rewrite program to correct errors.
•  Write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections.
•  Deploy and test programs in staging and production environments. Monitor performance of program after
   deployed to assure customer needs are met.
•  May analyze, review, and alter programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.

Education:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university majoring in Math, Computer Information Systems or Computer Science preferred.

Experience:
This is an entry-level position. 0-1 year of related or transferable business experience or knowledge, such as that may have been gained through an internship or college coursework. Fundamental knowledge of HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript Libraries, Microsoft .NET, Microsoft SQL Server. A basic understanding of object-oriented design, relational databases, data communications, business intelligence/Power BI and Windows operating systems a plus.

Skills & Knowledge:
•  Ability to balance and manage project timelines and deadlines.
•  Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office productivity tools (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
•  Effective problem-solving skills, including ability to analyze issues, find the root cause of the problem, and
   consider a wide range of alternatives.
•  Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively present
   information and respond to questions from groups or individuals.
•  Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility while maintaining attention to detail.
•  Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
•  Ability to work independently and interact professionally and effectively in a team environment.
•  Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by being able to follow directions and interpret customer
   needs.

Salary Range:
$20/hour. Actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; internal equity and other conditions of employment.
