AIPSO is a management organization and service provider for various insurance industry groups responsible for administering the residual market. We are a national organization that serves local customer needs. Centralization and standardization are key to many AIPSO services because of the inherent economies of scale and other efficiencies.  However, our organization is based on customer focus and recognizes the need for flexibility in serving customer groups with diverse interests.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•  Assist AIPSO’s Personal Auto Insurance Operations with daily workload and special projects.
•  Underwrite and rate personal auto risks in accordance with Manual rules, rating plans and standard
   operating procedures.
•  File and maintain financial responsibility filings/history.
•  Determine risk attributes and rating criteria (MVR, CLUE, and Questionnaire information) to maximize
   premium determination.
•  Order MVR and CLUE for new business and renewal review through Lexis Nexis portal.
•  Review personal lines applications for eligibility, financial responsibility filings and accuracy.
•  Review correspondence, reports and supporting documents for processing.
•  Refer complex risk selection to an Underwriter for evaluation.
•  Respond to correspondence received from agents, insureds, and third-party vendors.
•  Review and prepare output for mailings to insureds/agents/third-parties and distribute other information as
   appropriate.
•  Manage incoming correspondence for work distribution.

Education:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university majoring in Business or other related majors preferred.

Experience:
This is an entry-level position. 0-1 year of related or transferable business experience or knowledge, such as that may have been gained through an internship or college coursework. 

Skills & Knowledge:
•  Ability to balance and manage project timelines and deadlines.
•  Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office productivity tools (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
•  Effective problem-solving skills, including ability to analyze issues, find the root cause of the problem, and
   consider a wide range of alternatives.
•  Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively present
   information and respond to questions from groups or individuals.
•  Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility while maintaining attention to detail.
•  Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
•  Ability to work independently and interact professionally and effectively in a team environment.
•  Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by being able to follow directions and interpret customer
   needs.

Salary Range:
$20/hour. Actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; internal equity and other conditions of employment.
