AIPSO is a management organization and service provider for various insurance industry groups responsible for administering the residual market. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Research and respond to complex telephone and written inquiries from insureds, producers, insurance company representatives, law enforcement authorities, regulators, Department of Financial Services representatives, and other professionals regarding the Plan and the Plan of operations.
- Complete projects as requested by Plan Committees, Insurance Companies, Producers, Insureds, Attorneys, Department of Financial Services and other professionals regarding Plan rules and regulations and assignment and producer certification information.
- Interpret and apply Plan rules to various situations. Provide resolution to problems.
- Oversee and reconcile disputed/declined electronic payments from customers. Process credit card appeals when necessary. Maintain logs of all disputed/declined/appeal transactions.
- Process and monitor complaints received from applicants, producers, and companies. Maintain log of complaints and/or Plan telephone inquiries.
- Oversee the maintenance of all Producer Certification Records. Take necessary action as required.
- Monitor and review producer and/or company performance records. Refer matters requiring additional review to the supervisor to determine appropriate course of action. Assist in developing case material for Peer Review Panel.
- Review applications for eligibility, compliance with Plan rules, and accuracy.
- Assist with preparation of annual budget and monthly budget reconciliation.
- Develop subcommittee and Governing Committee meetings and agendas.
Education:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university preferred. Additional appropriate experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. INS, IIA, API, CPCU courses, other insurance designations, and/or property/casualty licenses preferred.
Experience:
3 or more years of customer service/insurance experience and/or training required. Previous administrative, financial services and /or insurance experience required. Experience with automobile insurance plan rules and regulations preferred.
Skills/Knowledge:
• Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility while maintaining attention to detail and meeting
all internal and external deadlines is essential.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Adobe productivity tools (e.g., Outlook, Word,
Excel).
• Effective problem-solving skills, including ability to analyze issues, find the root cause of the
problem, and consider a wide range of alternatives before acting.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively
present information and respond to questions from groups or individuals.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and interact professionally and effectively in a team environment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, follow directions, and interpret customer needs.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as Plan manuals & operating procedures.
Salary Range: $58,800 - $94,000/$77,000 - $123,000 Annual. Actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; internal equity and other conditions of employment.
