AIPSO is a management organization and service provider for various insurance industry groups responsible for administering the residual market. We are a national organization that serves local customer needs. Centralization and standardization are key to many AIPSO services because of the inherent economies of scale and other efficiencies.  However, our organization is based on customer focus and recognizes the need for flexibility in serving customer groups with diverse interests.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Validate policy forms, endorsements, and notices meet technical, regulatory, and business compliance by performing exploratory, functional and user acceptance tests.
  • Execute dedicated regression tests to ensure that new changes do not negatively impact existing functionalities.
  • Analyze, design, and write detailed test plans aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • Accurately document test cases, test procedures, and outcomes.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs in DevOps, and communicate findings with the team members, relevant stakeholders, and development team.
  • Provide regular status updates on testing progress and potential risks to the team.
  • Collaborate closely with the testing team to align on testing strategies, share critical insights, and coordinate on integrated efforts.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups to discuss testing progress, challenges, and priorities.
  • Provide gap analysis and identify inconsistencies outside of the scope of current testing, bring them to the team’s attention.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Additional appropriate experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience:
2 or more years of experience in software quality assurance or manual testing, ideally within the insurance or financial services industry. Personal and/or Commercial Automobile underwriting experience is a plus.

Skills & Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with test case management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, DevOps).
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical issues.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office productivity tools (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, Access) to manage work.

Salary Range: $47,100 – $75,300/$56,400 - $90,000/$66,600 - $106,400 Annual.  Actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; internal equity and other conditions of employment.
